Job Responsibilities :- Should have good experience in Insurance Industry.- As a Technical architect you will work closely with the CTO and the head of development in other centres to assist in planning the delivery of projects in cost-effective and time-efficient manner- Lead design and development of software systems - Demonstrate good client engagement skills - Plan build or development tasks by confirming objectives and specifications with the relevant stakeholders - Ensure focus on Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) with special emphasis on code quality and unit testing - Split requirement into manageable development features or modules for the team- - Identify functional and non-functional constraints of the system and designs optimal solutions- Debug or troubleshoot coding bugs and provides fixes for the same - Communicate issues in development to reporting manager promptly - Participate in application profile and performance benchmarking activities- Bring in industry best practices to all facets of software design and delivery processEssential Skills :- Overall experience in the range of 10 to 12 years - 3+ years of solution architecture and technical lead experience - 5+ years of strong software development experience of designing and coding on enterprise web-based systems - Objected Oriented Design, Data modelling skills using UML- Does not hesitate to put ideas or design on paper via logical diagrams, tables, flowcharts, physical network diagrams etc- Highly proficient skills of Java 7/8; J2EE; REST / SOAP; Spring / MVC; Hibernate / JPA; AMQ - Proficient in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Node JS- Relational Database experience (any of PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and ability to write SQL - Ability to work with Microservices Architecture and design of RESTful services - Working knowledge of JSON and XML structures - Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team- Highly experienced in traditional waterfall methodology and or Agile/ SCRUM Delivery- Knowledge of build tools such as Ant, Maven or Gradle - Unix shell scripting - Experience of development or deployment on Linux, Mac OS operating systems - Used version source control systems such as Git, SVN or CVS Desirable Skills :- Understanding of ACORD data standards - Insurance Industry Experience - Designing and working with ESB / EAI and API gateway and management tools- Cloud services and platform such as Azure and/or AWS - Knowledge of DevOps practices - Kubernetes, Docker, etc. - NoSQL document-based databases such as MongoDB or CouchDB. - Performance measurement and monitoring tools - JMeter, Grafana- Enterprise Integration Frameworks such as Apache Camel- Best practices on log management and deriving metrics - Elastic, Logstash, Kibana- Continuous Integration Platform skills such as Teamcity, Jenkins - Understanding of Single Page Architecture (SPA) or reactive principles - Application Server Platform experience - JBoss, IBM Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat - Unit Testing tools experience such as on Jasmine, Karma libraries for JavaScript - Consulting experience and/or Client engagement presentation skills (ref:hirist.tech)
