Job Description:We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SQL, Python, ETL, and data visualization, with experience working closely with stakeholders and providing data support to Data Analysts. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in developing data pipelines, creating custom reports, and providing insights through data visualization and storytelling.Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, with expertise in outer joins, aggregations, unions, window functions, and Common Table Expressions (CTEs).- Design and implement data pipelines for ETL processes using Hadoop, Hive, PySpark, Presto, or SparkSQL.- Collaborate with Data Analysts to understand their data requirements and provide guidance on data issues and best practices.- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and develop data solutions that meet their objectives.- Create custom reports and presentations with strong data visualization and storytelling capabilities to communicate insights effectively.- Develop strategies to solve problems in logical yet creative ways, leveraging both technical and analytical skills.- Independently handle stakeholders with minimal intervention from reporting managers, demonstrating strong communication and articulation skills.- Continuously improve data processes and systems to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.Requirements:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.- 2-6 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on SQL, ETL, and data visualization.- Strong proficiency in SQL with demonstrated expertise in outer joins, aggregations, unions, window functions, and CTEs.- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data manipulation and automation tasks.- Experience working with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (Hive, PySpark, Presto) and SparkSQL.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with stakeholders and provide guidance to Data Analysts.- Proven ability to develop custom reports and presentations accompanied by strong data visualization and storytelling.- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.- Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
