Key Responsibilities :Modem Design & Development :- Lead the design and development of Bluetooth modem architectures.- Implement VLSI designs using RTL coding in Verilog/System Verilog.- Ensure the modem design meets performance, power, and area targets.Communication Systems :- Apply strong fundamentals of communication theory to the design and optimization of modem algorithms.- Work on the integration of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques for communication systems.- Collaborate with RF, DSP, and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of the modem with the overall system.Project Leadership :- Lead a team of engineers through the modem development lifecycle, from concept to production.- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.Testing & Validation :- Develop and execute test plans to validate modem performance and compliance with Bluetooth standards.- Identify and troubleshoot issues in the design and implementation phases.- Collaborate with the validation team to ensure thorough testing and debugging of modem features.Documentation & Reporting :- Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.- Present project status and technical details to senior management and stakeholders.Must-Have Skills :VLSI Design :- Proficiency in VLSI design, with strong experience in RTL coding using Verilog/System Verilog.- Understanding of VLSI design flow, including synthesis, simulation, and timing analysis.Communication Theory :- Strong fundamentals in communication theory, with the ability to apply these principles to modem design.- Experience with modulation, coding, and error correction techniques.Digital Signal Processing (DSP) :- Good understanding of DSP principles and their application in communication systems.- Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in hardware for communication systems.Preferred Skills :- Experience with Bluetooth protocols and standards.- Knowledge of ASIC/FPGA design and implementation.- Familiarity with low-power design techniques.- Experience with scripting languages such as Python for automation and testing (ref:hirist.tech)
