Key Performance Indicators :- Setup and contribute in writing codes for High Frequency Trading (HFT)- Understanding of hardware & software related to performance enhancements of HFT codes- Work towards improving reliability, accuracy, latency of existing codes on the desk.- Keep up to date on latest technologies which have the potential of bringing a competitive advantage, and constantly look for ways to improve any existing software configuration.- Design and development of innovative tools and systems for Ultra Low Latency trading and Direct Market Access.- Planning, organizing and managing the deliverables across the development lifecycle- Work in close coordination with IT systems team to setup and improve on hardware & software improvements.- Develop and implement new feedback system for user concerns, bugs, and defect tracking regarding use and functionality of new interfaces.Technical Competencies (Required) :- Experience in writing low-latency, memory-efficient, multithreaded algorithms in C++17- Headers and Libraries: - STL containers, thread, chrono, atomic, Boost libraries.Concepts : - Locks and lockfree programming, atomics, multithreading, memory ordering, memory pools, template metaprogramming, concurrency and parallelism, socket programming, client - server architecture, signal handling, compile-time polymorphism, hashing.- Sound object oriented programming concepts (language agnostic).- Understanding of STL Algorithms (find, sort, etc.) and the big notation.- Basic knowledge of Linux-based Operating Systems, including basic terminal commands and task scheduling. Nice to have :- Knowledge of OS-level optimization.- Basic understanding of version-control systems.Technical Competencies (Desirable):- Knowledge of Unit Testing concepts (general), experience with the GoogleTest framework.- Basic knowledge of SQL databases.- Basic knowledge of Python (Libraries: pandas, NumPy, sqlite3)- General understanding of derivative markets and understanding of market indices, especially Indian exchanges- Experience with DevOps (Azure pipelines), Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.- Basic knowledge of OS-level client-server communication (routing, gateways, etc.) Behavioral Competencies (Required) :- Proven debugging and problem solving skills in a high-pressure environment.- Solid understanding of good coding practices and commonly used design patterns.- Takes ownership and responsibility of code.Educational Qualification & Experience :- Masters Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.- 2 to 5 years of experience in developing trading solutions in the field of capital markets using algo-trading and high frequency trading (ref:hirist.tech)
